The brightness of the panel reaches 1000cd/m2, completely solved the interference of strong sunlight.
The function can solove the incompatible issue that there was no way to check the full image while the full size luminance could be checked at the same time before.

Innovative design of the user-define aspect ratio function, to meet the various expressions of movies and TV forms, the screen center digitally displays the adjustment status of the frame aspect ratio in real time.
It is derived from the design principle of the tunnel structure, the structural design of the rectangular rounded corners, and the aluminum-magnesium alloy with a thickness of 3mm, so that the monitor body has greater pressure resistance.
To be different from the previous frame grabbing function, it can continuously store the captured images in real time on the local SD card, and it can be reviewed immediately, which reduces the trouble of recording work of script supervisor and enables the inspection of multiple shots or consecutive scenes. It becomes simpler and more accurate, which greatly reduces the error rate.
While realizing the necessary functions, the height of the monitor is only 24mm, and the overall weight is only 570g. Supporting 4K and realizing SDI and HDMI cross convert is a true transformation.

3D LUT Loading
B/P/D Series Monitor internally built in 3D-LUT Color Management System in accordance with unified industry standards and it uses professional testing equipment to take systematic and accurate calibration for monitors to ensure the display indicator of monitor meet the tolerance range of color space standard .Therefore, it ensures each monitor has the accurate color restoration and the color of same style monitors is consistent to the maximum extent .
The luminance waveform can be superimposed over picture (see below). The Y-axis represents the luminance level. There are two indicators; one at 100% and one at 700mv.
The Luminance waveform is mainly used to read the value of the Y signal. This is helpful for setting Camera Iris levels.
Signal Hidden ” Function---Headroom and Footroom waveform
IRE Waveform is used for checking exposure value of shooting spot ,and also it is a necessary tool for testing the camera tolerance by DP or Cinematographer .
Film shooting now are still based on 2.35:1 aspect ratio , HL-700HD uses the “ safety signal hidden” function . If we want to display 2.35:1 scale on the 16:9 screen , we can use this “ safety signal hidden “ function to realize the full screen IRE waveform display and also to view the complete picture . In this way, the range of the IRE safety signal will be hidden and just display the signal over IRE 80 and below IRE 20 .Moreover , it displays the bright part and dark part this two key signal information in the upper and lower part of screen , where there is no picture displaying . We can see not only the whole shooting picture displayed ,but also the full screen IRE waveform displayed with the accuracy in the real time and it solves the incompatibility of this two display ways . In fact , we generally view the full screen IRE waveform when testing the equipments and focus on the bright and dark zones when shooting.
16 channels of embedded audio in the SDI video signal can be decoded and 8 selective channels can be shown on the screen at the same time. The Volume unit shows both VU and PPM.
The Volume unit is used for measuring audio levels and calibration. This is helpful for making sure that audio levels are within technical requirements and specifications.
Time Code （LTC、VITC）
Timecode information (LTC, VITC, ) can be decoded on the screen.
Timecode generated by a camera or video recorder can be decoded and displayed on the screen as hour, minute, second and frames. Ruige P and B series monitors can display LTC and VITC information. Both can be displayed at the same time.
A red peaking filter is used for Focus Assistance. It is represented as a red line around sharp edges. The edge color can be changed if desired; available colors are red, blue, green, yellow and white.
Using a red peaking filter aids in the ability to quickly focus or refocus a shot. As the photographer zooms into focus his shot sharp edges will be represented as red lines.
EBU (European Broadcasting Union) has the stipulation, frist class monitor’s brightness is within 70 ~ 100cd / m2, taking the outdoor shooting into account, strong light will affect the viewing on the monitor screen. professional, broadcast, film-grade monitors possess backlight adjustable function. After finishing the technical verification of the monitor, increase the brightness of the monitor screen by adjusting backlight so as to facilitate the director to view the details in the images.
GPS in Video
Rapid positioning for out of range indicator
“Exposure analysis” function gives the user the ability to do fast out of range checks. When the image becomes more complex with out of range colors, it becomes too inconvenient to see.
The design inspiration of this function is based on x-ray machines and body scanners at airports. The black color indicates hard items and the softer items are represented with White and purple. These colors can be isolated in one second by contrasting with “Exposure Analysis” when switched on.
Case in point, security checks at airport are lacking due to subjective human factors. With Rapid positioning for out of range indicator allows for 100% accuracy. However, the end user has the freedom to not use this function for that artistic professional look.
Luminance levels can be represented using False Color on the screen. It represents the amount of exposure explained as color values ranging from Blue to Green to Yellow to Red.
False Color is used to assist in setting the camera exposure. Blue (cool color) indicates a low exposure, a darker blue indicates an even lower exposure. Red (warm color) indicates a high exposure and a deeper red indicates an even higher exposure. Green and Yellow are in between. A scan feature allowing the image to be offset to the upper left revealing the Luminance Waveform on the upper right makes it easy to identify parts of the picture which may exceed standards.
The zebra pattern is a reminder of the exposure of the subject. It is a highlight indicator. When shooting with a manual aperture, you can control the aperture according to the zebra pattern.
Usually when the brightness of the subject exceeds 80% of the maximum brightness that the camera can accommodate (this value is different depending on the model), zebra patterns begin to appear, so when adjusting the aperture, the brightest part of the subject should be Slightly zebra pattern, and no zebra pattern in other parts, so you can get accurate exposure. If there are too many zebra patterns, it shows overexposed; if there are no zebra patterns in any part of the image, the image is underexposed. At present, the level of the zebra pattern of some cameras is adjustable. It can usually be adjusted between 60% and 100% of the maximum brightness.
Safe & Area Marker
Image overflow or cutoffs can be checked using this feature. This is helpful during “Pan and Scan” as image is prepped for various broadcast markets. Ruige monitors have selections for Safety Marker Scales, Title Scales, Transform Scales and Center Cross. This is helpful for composition during shooting or title placement.
Aspect Ratio self-define Function
Customer self-designed marker makes creation more freely. The Aspect Ratio setting generally used in Film and TV field can not meet the needs of various different display ways like outdoor multi-media , mobile terminal customers and end users . etc .
HL-700HD possesses the innovatively designed aspect ratio self-define function ,customers can self-define the aspect ratio according to the different needs of shooting request . Meantime, there is figure displayed in the center of the the screen , displaying the adjusted aspect ratio data intuitively and quickly to help customers to verify the scale parameter.
Anamorphic De-squeeze Function
This function can adjust the image shot by anamophic lens（e.g. 1.3X, 2.0X) to normal display ratio, and you don’t need to choose this function in the menu of cameras. The key is, not all ARRI camcorder possesses the function to correct the suqeezed images.
Only the blue portion of the video signal is displayed.
This is used for monitor color phase adjustment, level and calibration
Mono(chrome) displays only the Y portion of the video signal
Human Eyes are more sensitive to the luminance signal therefore many viewfinders and small monitors have this function.
Frame Grabbing function for script supervisor.
Different from the previous "freeze frame" function, HL-700HD can continuously capture real-time pictures of the video and save them in a SD memory card in the device, and can instantly review and output. Reducing the work of recording with words, hand drawing or camera shooting, makes it simpler and more precise for checking multiple shooting and continuity, greatly reduced the error rate. Since the frame grabbing function grabs the footage from the camera, so wherever the script supervisor is, the image taken will be a whole shooting scene.
SD card can be used to load 3D LUT (the technical LUT or creative LUT ).
Muti-Aspect Ratio Switchable
In order to adjust for correct scanning users can choose different Aspect ratios. Selections are: 16:9, 4:3, Letterbox, Pixel-to-Pixel, Over Scan and Built-in Scan.
Overscan is often used to programing for TV broadcast.
Because of the limit of monitor size and effective pixels, not all of monitors can be shown Full HD signal. Ruige P&B Series monitors use RPD technology to make image parts by parts to pixel to pixel so that 1080 original pixels can be reappear.
This function can be used for the monitor with the resolution less than 1080. To view details, this function can avoid the loss of image detail due to lack of screen performance.
Beyond the normal image,the blanking area of field/horizontal signal is shown in screen.
In SDI signal, there are many useful information embedded in the blanking area of field/horizontal signal. For example, SDI Audio, CC (Closed Caption),etc.. It is necessary to check the information in the blanking area to make sure if these information has been embedded successfully.
On Display Meter Battery
When use battery to supply power to monitors, please enter the menu to “Auxiliary Function”. And open “Battery Checker”,
So you will find one Battery meter displayed at the top-right corner, caculating the remaining of battery capacity. When capacity is less than 205，the scale meter color will be changed from Green to Red.
